Working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, the Account Executive will engage directly with clients to set clear goals and expectations, develop and execute earned media strategies, craft a wide variety of communications materials, contribute to new business development, and manage Account Coordinators and interns. This is a dynamic role with significant opportunity for growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES
•
Develop targeted media strategies for clients across a range of cultural fields
•
Compose engaging, incisive press releases, pitches, and other communications materials, often under tight deadlines
•
Build and maintain trusting client relationships with clear and consistent communication, responsiveness, and professionalism
•
Pitch and place stories in a wide variety of media
•
Develop and maintain relationships with critics, reporters, producers, and editors
•
Help train and supervise Account Coordinators and interns
•
Contribute to overall growth and development of the agency
QUALIFICATIONS
•
Bachelor of the Arts in Communications, Journalism, Art History, or a related field
•
3-5 years PR experience, in-house or at an agency
•
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•
Demonstrated interest in the cultural conversation
•
Broad understanding of the media landscape and evolving trends
•
Strong relationships with editors, journalists, bookers, and segment producers in the culture space
•
Experience with client management
•
Excellent leadership skills

COMPENSATION
•
Salary Band: $65,000-$85,000, commensurate with experience. Base salary is supplemented by a generous bonus schedule
