Artist Relief

Artist Relief was the first nationwide, multi-disciplinary, and direct-to-artist relief effort, created in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Organized by the Academy of American Poets, Artadia, Creative Capital, Foundation for Contemporary Arts, MAP Fund, National YoungArts Foundation, and United States Artists (all small to mid-sized national arts grantmakers), Artist Relief ultimately distributed $23.4 million in emergency grants to 4,682 artists, in the form of $5,000 emergency relief grants.

As the founding communications partner of the coalition, Cultural Counsel engaged its extensive network in the launch of Artist Relief, and continues to manage its comms, PR, website, and digital platforms, including paid social and commissions.
