Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre

Envisioned by Indian philanthropist and businesswoman Nita Ambani, the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) is India’s first multidisciplinary cultural venue, which opened in Mumbai in March 2023. Its facilities include a 2,000-seat Grand Theatre capable of hosting touring Broadway productions, two smaller theaters designed for experimental productions, and the Art House with four floors of purpose-built exhibition space.

Parent company Reliance Industries engaged Cultural Counsel in 2020 to promote Jio World Centre and NMACC’s launch, placing profiles of Nita and Isha Ambani in top-tier U.S. media outlets and news stories around NMACC’s inaugural arts, fashion, and performance programming, led by Hamish Bowles, Jeffrey Deitch, Ranjit Hoskote, and Feroz Abbas Khan.

For NMACC’s grand opening, Cultural Counsel managed an international press trip, provided on-site photography support, and secured post-event coverage in a wide range of celebrity, cultural, and fashion outlets.
