Since 2016, Cultural Counsel has partnered with United States Artists, the arts funder that has continually rethought what it means to support artists, whether through its $50,000 flagship Fellowship, the Berresford Prize, or through its ever-expanding slate of Initiatives.

Since our engagement, we have remained a consistent thought partner, helping to develop and refine narratives, oversee media campaigns, and facilitate collaborations and partnerships. Among the most visible of these joint activations are the Artist Relief coalition, formed in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, and Disability Futures, which was administered by USA with support by the Ford Foundation and the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.

Additionally, we have worked closely with USA’s leadership over the years, working to develop the organization’s long-term vision as it continually reinvents the larger field.
